Precision filter is also called surface filter

Precision filter is also called surface filter, that is, the impurity particles removed from the water are distributed on the surface of the filter medium instead of distributed inside the filter medium. It is mainly used for the removal of trace suspended solids, before reverse osmosis and electrodialysis, and after the multi-media filter, acting as a security filter. The precision filter consists of a filter housing and a filter element installed inside.

When working, water enters the filter element from the outside of the filter element, and the impurity particles in the water are blocked outside the filter element. The filtered water enters the filter element and is led out through the collection pipeline. The filtration accuracy of the precision filter is generally 1.1-20μm, the accuracy of the filter element can be replaced at will, and the shell mainly has two structures: stainless steel and organic glass. The precision filter should be backwashed once a day during use.

Precision filter element is to achieve the filtration and separation of solid particles, suspended matter and microorganisms in liquid or gas through its special material and structure.

The precision filter element is usually composed of multi-layer filter materials, including fiber materials, membrane materials, ceramics and so on. These materials have different pore sizes and molecular screening properties, and are able to screen particles and microorganisms of different sizes.

When the liquid or gas passes through the precision filter, most of the solid particles, suspended matter and microorganisms will be blocked on the surface of the filter, and the clean liquid or gas can pass through the filter. Through different levels of filter materials, the precision filter element can achieve efficient filtration of particles and microorganisms of different sizes.

In addition, the precision filter element can also enhance the filtration effect through charge adsorption, surface filtration and deep filtration mechanisms. For example, the surface of some precision filters is endowed with an electric charge, which can adsorb microorganisms and particles with opposite charges; The surface of some precision filter elements has tiny pores, which can prevent the passage of tiny particles through the surface tension effect; There are also some precision filters with larger pores and deeper filter layers, which can effectively reduce pollutants in liquids or gases.

In general, the precision filter element can efficiently and reliably filter and separate solid particles, suspended matter and microorganisms in liquid or gas by selecting suitable filtration materials and structures, combined with different filtration mechanisms.
