Product Description

1.What does a vacuum exhaust filter do?

Exhaust filters ensure that your oil-lubricated vacuum pump expels clean exhaust air.  They filter the oil mist produced during operation, catching and removing it before the air is expelled through the exhaust.  This allows the oil particles to coalesce and be recycled back into the system.

2.What happens when a vacuum filter is clogged?

This clogging will reduce the effectiveness of the vacuum and make it less able to pick up debris and dirt, and if the filter is not replaced regularly, it can release dust and other allergens back into the air.

3.Can you wash a vacuum air filter?

Rinse the filter,You shouldn't need to use any detergent – just water.   Also, while running the fitler through the washing machine or dishwasher may sound like a time-saver, in most cases this is not recommended by the manufacturer, and may void the vacuum's warranty.

4.How long do vacuum filters last?

Most manufacturers recommend you change your filter on average every 3-6 months.    However, it is recommended to change your filter even earlier depending on usage.
